The exercise:

Write four lines of prose about: the octopus.

Yesterday marked one month since I was last inside a building other than my house. I've always been a bit of a homebody, but this has been a bit much...

Thank goodness for mostly good weather, the backyard, and walks in the park with the boys.

How are you shopping? Do you get everything delivered at the moment? And at least it's a pretty new house for you still :)
This is largely why I've been going to the office and working there instead of working from home -- plus there's between 2 and 5 of us in the office at any given time so we're still well separated just by being in different rooms. No one is taking public transport to get there -- we're actually doing the social distancing thing well.

Octopus
"We're up against Claire Groghan next," said Theresa, running a sharp-fingernailed digit down the match list. "They call her the Octopus because she'll cheat the moment you take your eyes off her hands, arms or legs. They say she rattles when she walks because she's got two sets of scrabble tiles in her knickers."
"I had octopus in Greece once," said Margaret sounding just a little dreamy. "grilled to perfection."

Greg - we've gotten groceries, prescriptions, and bread from the bakery delivered. We also get a weekly farm box delivered. Kat has made a few trips into stores to get some needed items, which we have all started calling 'sneaking' into the stores.

As in: "Okay, Mommy's going sneaking - be right back!" And "Is Mommy back from sneaking yet?" And "Sneaky Mommy!"

Glad to hear you guys are doing well with it there. Easter long weekend seemed to challenge the social distancing thing for some people here, but I guess we won't see if that's a problem for another week.

And I am deeply pleased that you went exactly the route I'd hoped you would with this prompt :D
