It's been snowing here again, which amuses me mostly because one of my co-workers earnestly told me last week that this week would be "warm" (about 3C) and the snow was gone for winter. How wrong we can be....

Breaking away
When you go to your doctor,
And you get a diagnosis:
"Your leg's not breaking away,
And I'm sorry, but your nose is...."

@ Greg: always funny

Mine:

Breaking Away

Crack! Another ear-wrenching sound
To echo what we’d all been thinking
The effect on Earth would be profound
Floods from the ice shelf sinking

Greg - I feel like we go through that cycle every other day around here at this time of year. 'Oh, snow's gone for good this time!' *wake up to snow covering everything in sight* 'Oh, maybe not!'

Rhyming 'diagnosis' and 'but your nose is' is... well, it's impressive, to say the least. Also: definitely brought a smile to my face.

Dragonfly - really like the rhythm of this one, even though its content is rather depressingly real. Nicely done :)
