We have come to Al-Amrit at last, which means I have about four weeks to clear up why the narrator wanted to get here all along :)
I don’t know how I do it, but when turning this way and then that The skin-map seems to pulse in time with another heart-beat. Following the directions is so easy that when we get there I ask the boy what elese is tattooed on his skin.

That's a neat way of arriving for sure. And now I'm curious to see if the boy has any other useful tattoos...
