The exercise:

Write four lines of prose about: the signing.

Maybe feel free to work the number twenty in there as well, if you like.

If you hadn't recently moved house I'd be suspicious that you were moving house with the recent prompts. I will be intrigued when you let us know what's going on :)

I'll be going to Kyiv on Wednesday and be over there for a week and half or so, and while I'm not expecting internet interruptions or too much work to do, there is always a chance that I'll briefly disappear -- but not to worry, I'll be back!

The signing
Sixticton's Mayor, a dog (naturally -- they're loyal, friendly and protective of their community, which values Sixticton voters strongly supported) barked happily as each Sixtictonian signed the town's Charter. Emma, currently on loan from WrongStart to Bookmart, Sixticton's recently privatised library, shook her head as she walked away from the Charter, and looked over at Steve.
"Do you think it's odd that the Charter requires us to form a human wall in case of invasion from the South?" she asked.
Steve shrugged and said, "I thought it was stranger that we've agreed to be part of Sixticton's mineral resources."

[Two notes: one, I was tempted by Sixtictonianite for the townsfolk, but actually just trying to say 'Sixtictonian' five times fast is enough fun. And two, Bookmart's new slogan is It's a book, you can take a look. But if you want to study, that costs money!]

Greg - hah, you're too smart for your own good. I didn't think I was giving anything away but you caught it anyway.

I hope your trip went smoothly!

And you even wrote a Sixticton story! I look forward to having a dog for a mayor, for all the reasons you've listed here :)
