Last night I met a friend for drinks and the bar, which is usually empty except for us (at this time of year when the tourists have mostly returned to their own countries), was occupied by a group of people rehearsing for an event they'll be doing on Thursday evening in the bar, for charity. All songs, which disappointed us a little as we thought at first they were rehearsing just the singing parts of a musical and thought it might be quite good, but overall they weren't bad. A couple of wobbly points -- trying to sing lines that should be spoken with emotion, and a rendition of Under Pressure that should have brought Bowie's ghost back to beat them to death with their own microphones -- but otherwise pretty good.

Language
I speak languages,
Old, new, and invented, but
I don't speak Stupid.

======
What you do with words
Isn't language; it's a crime.
Fifty years in jail!

Greg - that sounds like a pretty neat thing to stumble upon, warts and all :)

Hah. Not sure I can pick between these two. Sorta leaning towards the second, but I do so enjoy the final line of your first.
