The exercise:

Write a four line poem (or, you know, ignore the traditional Saturday format in favor of connecting your tale this week) about: the nephew.

This is a little bit of a tougher challenge, but I had an idea for how to handle four-line poem a couple of days ago. By cheating :) So, you might recognise some of the words, and you'll know the tune then, but a verse of a Christmas carol seems fitting.

The nephew
The holly and the ivy, now they are both full grown,
Are tied around the nephew and the holly is his crown.
Santa stole his skin, and the reindeer ate their fill,
And his uncle, who's the President, will get pictures of the kill.

[In a Portakabin, many miles away, Suzie listened to Santa narrate his actions over the radio. Then she cut the communication and placed a precise check-mark against a name on the List of Very Naughty People. "Almost there," she said."
"We lose control of Santa when he has all his skin back?" Lionel was fiddling with the video camera, so nervous Suzie could smell the sweat.
"We have a backup," said Suzie. "One of the large presents on his sleigh is a fertiliser bomb. For shrapnel we filled it with glass candy canes and tinsel-wrapped barbed wire."
"That's Christmassy," said Lionel, managing a smile.]

Greg - ah, the festive mood continues nicely here.

I am now, for the record, regretting the final pairing for this theme week :P
