The exercise:

The countdown to Christmas officially begins today with the arrival of Relatives Week. If you want to connect the prompts into one tale, that's great. Also totally fine? If you take them on as individual or, shall I say, unrelated prompts.

Let's get it started with two haiku about: the uncle.

Are we really only a week away from Christmas already? I'm not ready... I'll postpone it till next year :)
I can probably pull them together into one tale since you've given me a hint about the prompts, so let's try it :) I'm ignoring your pun by the way. Just so you're aware.
And I shall be returning to this story after all, for this week, since it was a Christmas prompt as well :)

The uncle
Reindeer, starved for days,
Eye the uncle hungrily.
Darkness hides his fate.

Most of his skin is
A tapestry of tattoos.
Not for Santa then.

Greg - I'm almost ready. Just need to finish writing one more thing, and we're planning on doing all the wrapping and what not tomorrow. Should be done what I need to write on Monday morning when I'm at work.

Christmas Eve morning! That might be a record for me. For how early I'm ready, that is...

How can you ignore that pun? It's bloody gorgeous.

:P

Not sure I want to know how you're planning on pairing that story with these prompts, but I'm about to find out!

I don't know if I'm more impressed that you've made that into a perfectly appropriate acrostic or by the actual content of the haiku. Let's call it a tie, I think.
