Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night with family, friends, good food, and some well deserved presents.

Write two haiku about: Christmas morning.

I hope it was a good Christmas day for you! Did you get anything fun this year? I seem to recall you often get spa-days for Christmas presents :) I made enchiladas instead of anything more traditional, and I can say that they were extremely tasty. And I have left-overs from them for today too.

Christmas morning
Three a.m.; children
Insist it's time to get up.
Night-nurse all of them.

Santa's sat downstairs
Eating mince pies, telling jokes.
Let's go home now Santa!

[Luckily, I checked; Night-nurse appears to be a UK brand of medication used for relieving cold symptoms, but makes people sleepy (there's Day-nurse for when you need to stay awake). This is moderately more responsible than my usual suggestion of whiskey or chloroform.]

Greg - I did, indeed, get a massage gift certificate :) Also some money to spend, so I'm putting together a list of books that I want. Beyond that, not sure where the money is headed quite yet.

Also: you will come visit us and cook for us one day. Or we'll come to you, eventually. Either way, enchiladas sound delicious.

Hah, yes, moderately so :P

I really like the image of your second haiku, so that's my fav for this final haiku pairing of 2018 :)
