If a word just pops into your head like that I think you ought to write to the prompt as well :) I'm sure I ought to be making some other comment about you having the temerity to make that a haiku prompt, but I better get to angsting over my syllables :-/

Really like your first. Also enjoyed your second, but your first tells quite the tale and I'm tempted to know more.
