The internet provider here, Melita, has decided that it's too hard to provide an internet connection *every* day so it's taken to turning the internet off periodically. I have no idea why; and it's worth noting that I have had better internet service in third-world countries, so that says a lot about Malta really....

In the newsroom
"When did West Wallingford start breeding crosses between badgers and giant African hornets, exactly?" asked Sue as she and the weather anchor, Val, backed across the newsroom of the East Wallingford Gazette. In front of them, hovering jerkily like their wings weren't quite strong enough to keep them aloft, were the foul-smelling badger/hornet crosses.
"The note, assuming I figured out the mis-spellings, poor grammar and strange dialect words correctly, suggests at the start of the pandemic," said Val, bumping into a chair which rolled squeakily aside.
"So this isn't really news then?"

Greg - ugh, that sucks. I don't think I had much need of the internet while I was visiting Malta back in 2002 - it was nearly the end of my European backpacking adventure and was needing a bit of a vacation from my vacation. But I can certainly understand your frustrations, especially considering that we're nearly at the end of 2021 now...

Hah, that final line. So good. Also... those things sound truly horrific.
