The exercise:

Write four lines of prose about: what's done is done.

Officially off the books with the Town as of 4:30 today. Not on the payroll with the new job until Monday morning.

I think technically I'm unemployed for the weekend?

Ah, then I know what you'll be doing! This! But yes, technically you're unemployed until Monday whenever you start in the new place :)

What's done is done
Father Thomas's hands moved swiftly and for a moment there was silence and then the cry of a baby filled the church.
"What have you done?" whispered the verger, his tone a mixture of anger and shock and his face pale with rage.
"Circumsized the baby," said Father Thomas, "though honestly, I didn't think we did Jewish ceremonies here."
"We don't, and this was supposed to be marriage counselling," hissed the verger, who was getting ready to hide from the angrier-looking parents who were advancing on the priests.

Greg - hah! I think the boys are a little too old to be fooled by such things, sadly...

Um... yikes. Well... yeah, I'd start running if I was either of those priests. Though the verger seems the more likely of the two to figure that out.
