The exercise:

Write four lines of prose about: a lucky day.

Hope you all had a nice Friday the 13th today. I mostly hid at my desk and worked on getting next week's meeting agendas published. Oh and also preparing to train my replacement, who starts on the 24th.

I mostly missed that it was Friday 13th -- I remember noticing it at the start of the week, but then forgot about it. But I'm glad nothing untoward happened to do this day! And I have a feeling that if we get one at the start of the year we usually get another round about November time, but I don't remember the exact months that it works for.

A lucky day
Margaret gazed at the Wordle on the screen, pondering. This wasn't the same as Scrabble but Theresa, who had misplaced her knitting bag and was pottering around looking for it, had insisted that she give it a try to keep her occupied.
"METAL," she said finally, and tapped it in, getting 5 green squares on her first try. "Must be my lucky day," she murmured as Theresa stared at her in disbelief.

Greg - I was happy to be away from reception duties, as it never fails that the number of oddball callers and visitors increases on these occasions. Full moons are good for those instances as well.

Hah. Still only ever got it in 2 guesses three times in nearly 120 games. If I ever get it in 1 I'm done.
