Smoke certainly ties in with burning, so I'm going to set the alert levels back down to Amber for the moment and wait and see if your next prompt pushes it back up again ;-)
Smoke Magic smoke escapes... I curse this computer -- or Rock as it now is.
Roiling like black snakes, Outgassing, choking thick smoke Renders us inert.
Looming over town Choking all, when will it go? Very soon, we hope. ============ How bad are the wildfires around you, Marc? I expect the smoke is terrible, as it is for us. The rain came here today, so hopefully it won't be so bad now.
Ooh, those are both really good. I'd have to say the first is slightly my favorite, as it has introduced me to the term 'magic smoke', which I am now a big fan of.
Morganna - our air quality index has been mostly miserable, with a brief interlude of bearable. We haven't had rain in a long time, and what they're forecasting isn't expected to do much. It seems it doesn't matter which way the wind blows, it always brings more in from a different direction and it gets trapped in our valley.
So... it pretty much sucks. I hope your area gets better soon.
Your haiku sums us up here quite nicely as well...
