I'm taking the lateness of the post today as proof that Kat was unimpressed with the vacuum cleaner suggestion for a present :) I guess being made to sleep outside on the porch is a serious threat in Canadian winters.

Cornered
The scrabble board looked strange, and kibbitzers and onlookers were starting to gather as the other games finished. Seeing one word twice on the board was unusual; Paul and Carla's careful reproduction of each others words was almost pathological. Paul drew the last letters from the bag and Theresa smiled, knowing that the pair had to be cornered now. He had to had have drawn the J and the Q, both letters having only one instance in the bag, and both the blanks had already been used.

Greg - hah. No, I feel asleep on the couch all on my own. Long day.

I like the use of 'pathological' here. Also... I am intrigued. How will the end game play out now?
