The exercise:

Write four lines of prose about: the plight.

Today... was not a significant improvement on yesterday. Because Kat and Max got hit with the bug late morning.

Hopefully this will be the end of it, at least, now that we've all had it. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be a quiet (relatively speaking) and relaxing (see previous parentheses) day of recovery for all.

I suppose it's not entirely unexpected that if the bug could get you then it could get other people too... at least you've had it staggered rather than all of you coming down with it together :) Get well soon!

The plight
"QUEEN," said Paul, setting the tiles down on the board, and Maureen quickly played CHECK as her curiosity as to what Carla would do was eating away at her. She barely noticed that her play took them to 227 points ahead.
"QUEEN," said Carla, neatly enscribing a Q onto a fresh plastic tile she'd produced from a pocket, with a soldering iron she'd produced from her sleeve. "And I'll stab any objectors with this... rather hot... soldering iron."

Greg - yeah, wasn't especially surprising, just... not hoped for.

Woah, not sure I'd dare bringing the judge over on this one. Though I would be getting rather worried about whether or not my lead was large enough to survive such tactics.
