The exercise:
Write two haiku about: guitars.
Chopped and hauled more wood this morning. Starting to have a decent amount out there. Assuming no serious cold snaps that force us to use up a lot of firewood show up in the coming weeks, I should have a pretty good stockpile before first snow.
Hung out with Max this afternoon. I'm pretty sure he said something extremely funny but I can't seem to remember what it was at the moment.
Oh well, I'm sure he has more in store for tomorrow.

in five minutes; someone must
know I need tuning?

Many twangs lead
To auditory glory:
A gorgeous song.
Beautifully grained
Wood, glowing color, a feast
For eyes and ears, too.
@Morganna: I think I like your first haiku better today, though they're both quite beautiful and conjure up lovely images. However, getting from 'twang' to 'song' wins in my book!
@Marc: The wood stack sounds like a good thing, and I hope you get the stockpile you're after before the snow. Since you mention the cold coming on, when does the winter job start? Have you got your mayoral chain and robes all ready to wear? ;-)
I think I like your second haiku better today, as the gentle worry of the guitar comes through rather nicely.
Guitar
Golden pasta falls
Under the guitar-string'd frame.
I'll eat well tonight!
The Baroque Guitar,
Ably played by Miss Snippet,
Raises dead children...
[The first haiku references the Guitar or Chitarra used to make a certain kind of pasta. It was nice to be able to get an acrostic out so easily this time, though it did cross my mind to praise Morgana for encrypting her acrostic just to see if Marc would sit there and try and find meaning in it :)]
Morganna - I'm with Greg, your first one wins the day for me as well. I hope NaNo is going well!
Greg - I'm currently searching for work. Didn't want to say much until I actually land something. Hopefully that happens soon!
Would you say that the guitar is... fretting?
I'll see myself out.
But only after I say that I like both of yours, and perhaps the second slightly more for the inclusion of Miss Snippet.
