The good news about the hippos in the Four Horsemen tale is that I'm not going to kill them off :) The Swimmer Beneath isn't even going to try and eat them.
Right, let's see, I think it's Theresa's turn at board today:

Toppled
Penelope's face was pinched; she had checked the scores and though it was still fairly early in the game it was clear that Team Titanic were already starting to lag behind. She watched Theresa with increasing anxiety as the women tapped her tiles, shuffled them, and then sighed just a touch theatrically.
"We're getting lopsided," said Theresa, "we're all playing on the left-hand side of the board and if we're not careful it'll all topple over and we'll get locked in." She set a tile down and Penelope relaxed a fraction, until Theresa followed it all the rest of them, laying down TOPPLED after the S of JOKERS to create STOPPLED and an intimidating lead.

Greg - if you killed off the hippos... anyway. I'm glad you're not planning on it.

Man, lopsided boards are the worst.

Also: I have this picture in my head of you having a Scrabble board setup in your home, just so you can keep track of all the words being played.
