The exercise:
Four lines of prose about: bargain hunting.
Today I bought enough plywood to use as subfloor for the entire cabin, as well as linoleum for the bathroom and kitchen. Oh, and picked and packed up for the market tomorrow morning.
Me tired now.
Mine:
The store was set to open at exactly 8:01 A.M. for the sale of the century and I was ready for it. There was no way I wasn't going to get that flat screen TV I'd had my eye on for months - there were only two in stock, and at 50% off they were going to go quick.
But one of them was coming home with me, no matter what.

Hehe, dynamite always says dedication.
Sounds like you had a very busy Friday, and it also sounds like you've got some busy weeks ahead putting all this stuff in!
Bargain hunting
Three hours sifting through the bin, and Janine had finally found the perfect cocktail dress. She reached in, picked it up, and shook it out with a thin-lipped smile of satisfaction. Some people thought that bargain hunting could only be done in shops, but she'd proved them wrong. She'd found her dress, for free, in the bins behind the slaughter house.
Yup, busy busy. It's a good busy, at least.
And that has got to be one heck of a dress! I'm sure she'll be the talk of the party :)
Marc- I couldn't help but think of Black Friday when I read this. Excellent!
Greg- I hesitate to ask what, or rather whom, is being slaughtered. I hope your character at least looks good in the dress ;)
I am bitter today. It is not a good day in America. It's a good thing I am limited to four sentences or I would have posted my rant here too.

I see them lining up around the corner and twisting down the long paved streets of America. The flyers and carnies wearing pressed Armani suits are all promising security for a signature; what a bargain! No one seems to be reading the fine print though. They just scribble their name and trade their freedoms for a false sense of security.
Heather - thanks, and I share a similar sentiment to yours.
I've been trying not to listen to the nonsense surrounding both the threat to burn the Quran and the mosque in New York, but some stuff slips through.
And it makes me angry every time.
