The exercise:

Write two haiku about: the road trip.

Kat and I are in Vancouver tonight with Miles, as the folks at BC Children's Hospital want to see him. Nothing has changed with his diagnosis. They seem to think that this has gone on long enough without his numbers improving so they want to check him out for themselves.

His appointment is tomorrow morning, then the plan is to head back to Osoyoos after lunch. We left after work today, so I should only miss one day of work. This is the only post I'm scheduling - I'll share whatever updates I've got on Wednesday's post.

He's been doing good the last couple of days, really seeming like himself. So hopefully this will be the only time we have to do this.

Max is having a sleepover with Kat's parents. I hope he's having fun.

I don't think it hurts to get an extra check-up on him (especially after the surprise of the blood transfusion), and I think it's rather nice that the hospital is taking taking an interest like this. I guess one of the doctors there must read your writing ;-)
I hope you have a good time in Vancouver and aren't too intimidated by the big city now that you've spent so long living in the wilderness with just the deer and Mr. Wriggles (and the night birds) for company :-p And I hope Miles enjoys the trip too!
As for Max... you should get him to start writing on here so you can check up on him when you're away ;-)

The road trip
When you said road trip
I didn't think we'd take tabs
Sat on the freeway....

Here's Vancouver; the
Eighth time. Admit it, we're lost.
Some road trip this is.

Greg - yeah, we do/did appreciate the specialists giving Miles the extra attention. And also that they didn't find anything more serious, as that confirmation was nice to have.

Hah, I'm sure he'll make an appearance on here eventually. Maybe he can take over one day.

Your first made me laugh out loud, so that's the winner this week for sure.
