Following up on last week's prompt, write a four line poem about: finders, keepers.

Well, while I did enjoy your themed prompts for a while, there's no actually need to go back to them just to amuse me :) They did happen to work rather well with Danya's tale but that was luck on both our parts I think, and I'm pretty certain I know where that's going (though clearly I should never be a children's author since any child would have grown up and had their own kids before getting to the end of my fairy-tale...). There is more to come, but you gave me two prompts that seemed to work better with poetry last week :)

Speaking of which...

Finders, Keepers
He stares with eyes like gemstones, and the beating of my heart
Seems to drown out the waves and wind and spray.
“Captain,” he cries, not looking away,
“Captain! I think I’ve found the Keeper.”

Greg - I'm glad there's more to come, as I would be quite upset if there wasn't. That tale needs an ending, or something akin to one.

The Keeper? Well. That was unexpected. And, obviously, intriguing. Looking forward to seeing what comes next here.
