Are you bringing the kids home with you too, or leaving them with their grandparents until next year? ;-)

The road home
"I have had it up to here," Miss Snippet gestured at neck level in a way that might be construed as aggressive, "with your faffing around and messing about." She glared at the Faerie Ambassador, who was still trying to get a clear report of how Miss Snippet had managed to find the children they'd kidnapped and arrive here in person, and gestured to where the children appeared to be working with heavy plant equipment. "We are building a road out of here, and back home. And just to keep you from any more meddling, it's got a bed of cold iron!"

Greg - thankfully I'm reading this too late to say 'don't tempt me'...

Hah, an unexpected but equally enjoyable take on the prompt. Miss Snippet never fails to entertain :)
