Well, I'm still not sure I know where this poem is going, but I think I might have a couple of ideas now of how to start to bring things full circle and get to *an* ending. We'll have to see how satisfying that is though.

Demands
“Choose!” demands the Captain. “The Al-Amrit or the Clarity.”
He turns away and stalks across the deck shouting orders
And I wonder if this is metonymy. If I choose Clarity
Do I give up all hope of returning to the Caliph’s gardens?

Greg - hah, well, you still have four months to get it there, so I have faith you'll handle it just fine.

Though I do have to admit that I have no idea at this point what your ending will look like. And I'm still happy to go along for the ride to find out!
