The exercise:

Write two haiku about: the future.

Another successful box day down. We're in the plentiful time of year, as the decisions are now about what to leave out of the boxes each week, rather than what can we possibly put in them.

Max had a good day, pretty much from start to finish. Maybe we're on the other side of this little nightmare at last.

The future looks bright
from where I'm standing right now;
may it stay that way.

Some say the present
is a gift, but the future
is my gift to you.

I do sometimes wish you were a little closer so I could subscribe to your box scheme as well. It sounds so good!
And well done to Max for keeping up the good health and not scaring you!
I think I like your first haiku better today, but it's a close-run thing. Very close, in fact.

The future
"No hope, no future!"
The old palm-reader blames me
For having no hands.

I bought my future
From a discount store in Queens.
No happy ending....

She is there smiling
Getting a glimpse of her life
My former young self

I took a chance once
I couldn't have predicted
A loving future

Greg's 1st was really funny.

Greg - sure, you just want me around for my produce :P

God damn, your first one. That's... horrible and hilarious. Love it.

Mo - really like your first one.

Lilianne - love the positivity of yours. Oh, and welcome to the blog! I hope to see more of your writing soon :)
