The exercise:

I'm not feeling particularly creative today so... let's just go with a poem about music.

Mine:

If my life had a soundtrack
It would be a best seller.
Not trying to be clever,
Just saying: it is a fact.

My musical tastes: top flight.
Radio songs: not making the cut.
Won't be all underground, but
It will truly rock the night.

So I wrote a poem using song titles....

Life
If my life were a song,
It would echo Last Resort.
My world is madness.
My life comes up too short.

The blood flows freely,
The pain is more than I can bear.
You all sit and stare
Welcome to My Nightmare.

Welcome to the Machine,
All I want to do is scream.
I'm numb to you all,
It's just Another Brick in the Wall.

Cat - thanks for finding another prompt to write one, and I'm especially grateful that you found one that had no previous comments on it! Always nice to have a lonely post get some company :)

That is some fantastic use of song titles, they all fit in seamlessly. Some really nice work here.
