Holy crow, you on the same mental frequency as me or something? I was just talking with a friend of mine about my most recent bit for Lunacy (which is *gulp* two and a half months in the works... ><)...
BUT!! IT'S ALMOST DONE! I JUST HAVE TO TWEAK THE ENDING!
Ahem. Sorry. Where were we? - - - - - - - - - - "Sanity is not statistical." Yeah, Orwell? What's sanity, then?
I've decided this: insanity's crazy, yet much more in'tresting. - - - - - - - - - - New lunacy bit should be soon! Very soon! I promise!!
@g2: I think I agree with Orwell from your first haiku, but that in no way detracts from it, but overall I like your second better, it's very strongly in your voice.
@Marc: Ah, definitely love your second, for all it evokes memories of the Watchmen (film and graphic novel).
Insanity
The horrors are real, Which is why I like my cell. They can eat your brains.
------
Thoughts like a corkscrew, Twisting, turning, consuming me. I'm diff'rently sane.
g2 - Lunacy has been on my mind lately, yes. Now that I finally got a chapter up for the western, the jail break story is next on my list, and then I'll get to thinking about following you up.
I like your second one best :)
Greg - I really should get around to watching that movie at some point...
I love your first one :D
Zhongming - I like both of yours, perhaps the first one slightly more :)
Morganna - ah, two excellent follow ups! Well done :)
saint321 - 'here goes something' is a great phrase, and one I should use more often.
Welcome to the blog! Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing some writing - I hope to see more from you :)

Marc - Your first haiku reminded me of the many things that i did when everyone else's is not, certainly insane! The other haiku sounds lovely :)
g2 - Both of your haiku pictured insane nicely :)
Greg - I like the way you described both of your haiku, your second is clearly my favorite!
Mine:
Love and hate
Is the most craziest thing
That I’ve ever known.
***
Things that I do
Made me sane
And also insane.
Mine follow-up on my response to yesterday:
That awful flicker
Seen wherever I look now
The demons are here!
No one to save me
Their edges are flickering
How can I be free?
I must be out of mind
to try something like this.
Here goes something.
* * *
I have just what you need
to cure your touch of sanity.
Think outside the mind for 5 minutes.
